Vinnies Services Drop In Group - DIG Group :

Provides opportunities for social interaction and skills building to enable people to stay engaged with their community.  the group operates on Mondays from 12 nooon to 3.00PM.

We provide an opportunity for,

* Social interaction
* Community involvement
* Recreational activities
* A safe and empathetic environment
* Opportunities for information and referral to other agencies if required

Activities include :

* Craft
* Games and fun activities
* Keeping in touch with current affairs
* Cooking
* Light exercise and laughter
* Guest speakers
* Out of town trips
* A communal meal

Participants may come to us by agency referral, word of mouth, and self-referral and through Vinnies Services

All prospective members require a pre entry interview

Vinnies Services run short courses in “Life Skills” that can assist clients develop the skills necessary for independent living. These courses can be in the areas of communication, cooking on a budget, healthy living, preparation for work etc.
